The Social Work Education Enhancement and Training (SWEET) Program in the School of Social Work at Dominican University is a federal grant through HRSA with the purpose of increasing master’s level social work graduates employed in high-need, high-demand communities and equipping them with the knowledge and skills to be part of an interprofessional team. Student participants will learn in a cohort of approximately 34 peers and be trained to support behavioral health and interprofessional healthcare with evidence-based interventions that address substance abuse and mental health challenges experienced by children, youth, and families. Students will also receive telehealth training and engage in a simulation experience with other student health professionals at Dominican University as part of this program.
Students meeting the program requirements will receive a monthly stipend of $1,250 for eight months. Please note that this stipend may be considered taxable income and/or may impact your financial aid award.
